Begin a health check plan by stating its purpose: routine screening, follow-up of an abnormal result, management of family risk, or assessment of an existing symptom. Each purpose may need a different department, set of tests and length of stay. Package price or the number of tests should not be the main decision.

Provide the institution with age, sex, important family history, chronic conditions, previous surgery, medicines, allergies and major results from the last one to three years. Existing imaging and laboratory results may prevent unnecessary short-interval repetition and show how a finding has changed over time.

Confirm preparation such as fasting, water, medicines, menstruation or possible pregnancy, and mobility or language needs. Only a clinician should advise stopping medication. Some tests require advance booking, sedation or a companion. Do not assume everything can be completed and reported in one day.

When comparing options, ask why each test is relevant, what it can find, which department explains an abnormal result and when and in what language the report will be delivered. Screening can reveal unexpected findings that need review, so allow time for a consultation instead of leaving immediately after testing.

Kangqiao can contact medical resources in different Chinese cities according to your needs and coordinate appointments and language support; Chongqing or any other city is not the default. The institution decides the tests, contraindications, prices and interpretation. Screening cannot find every disease and does not replace specialist care for symptoms.
